<description>I had Syrian grandparents...the story of the roadside grapeleaf picking,,,,awesome wonderful memories I think truly only a Syrian-American can imagine. Your recipes make me miss them so much. The sounds of their Arabic, the smell of bread and sambosik baking, mulfoof, kibbi, all of it is beyond good. Thanks for your posts here.

<description>I can't wait to make these! The stuffing my grandmother made is a bit different. I was having a hard time finding a recipe with the tomato in it! This will be the first time i attempted them on my own. She's been gone 9+ years now, and it's about time...
And I agree 100% on the picking the leaves your self...as kids we were given paper grocery bags and told not to come home until they were all full!
Thanks for the memories, and sharing your recipe!

Take care,

<description>From one Syrian/HillyBilly to another ..... thanks for your recipe ... I had the general idea/memory on how to make the grape leaves, just needed someone to take me step by step ... it's been years since I've sat with my Tete and made them .. (she passed Jan 04) .. she'd be proud of my batch today ... : ) funny, I didn't think anyone else would have the whole "picking grape leaves on the roadside" story...
 Thanks again!
